BRAIN TUMOR – TUMOR CEREBRAL

-The diagnosis once cast a pall of despair over its victims, who had little hope and few options for recovery. However, neurosurgical research and innovative treatments are beginning to change that view. “We know so much more about brain tumors then we did 10 years ago,” said John Jane Sr., MD, PhD, Editor of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons” Journal of Neurosurgery and a neurosurgeon in Virginia, “We still have a lot to learn, especially since brain tumors remain one of the least understood and difficult to treat tumors. But, there have been advances in how we diagnose brain tumors and how we treat brain tumors.” What is a brain tumor? A brain tumor is a cluster of abnormal cells growing in the brain. Brain tumors can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). They can start growing in the brain – a primary tumor, or they can be formed when cancer cells from another part of the body travel to the brain – a metastatic brain tumor. Approximately half of all primary brain tumors are benign. All metastatic brain tumors are malignant. More than 110000 people are diagnosed each year with a brain tumor. Approximately 80000 of tumors are metastatic. There are more than a dozen different types of brain tumors and they are classified by level of malignancy, size and degree to which the cancer has spread. First, metastatic brain tumors often are formed when cancers of the lung, breast, colon, prostate and skin spread to the brain. Improvements in treating

I too, had brain cancer. However, I refused brain surgery and chose alternative healing. I no longer have a brain tumor with uncontrollable seizures. A recording artist and singer/songwriter, I wrote my song, “My Safe Harbor by Peter Love,” to give others faith and hope to know that they to can beat their brain tumor. My song/video can be heard here on Youtube. Stay positive and believe and you will beat this horrific disease. I did and so can you. Peace.

@vetsaway First off, you are not a brain surgeon, so please refrain from giving your own medical advice. Yes, cannabis oil has been speculated to have very valuable medicinal purposes for the treatment of cancer, but the lack of research within that area is entirely due to political controversy. The doctors are doing what they know how to do to save people. If you don’t like the way things are, get a fucking degree and pioneer your own research. Do the experiments yourself, THEN talk. Bitch.

My uncle died on brain cancer in 2006. He was only 40, but he felt like his 20, he was so playful and we played together so much when I was younger :(
My grandma died on liver cancer on 2010, my grandpa died on bladder cancer on 2005. My mom has smoked 35 years now, and I hope she wont get cancer, and I really hope I don’t get cancer as well.

@vetsaway If you are going to tell someone to become educated then it may be prudent to use proper contractions; in your case, “your” should be “you’re.” Nevertheless, I never intimated that you did not USE it, I said to do the experiments. If you look through the scientific data (and not articles and expositions on effectiveness, but DATA) you will find it incomplete. Before you knock the doctors, do the research. The guidelines for practice are exceptionally stringent.

@metalguitarist321 This may sound a little far out there, but as long as the federal government is calling the shots people will never be cured of any illness in the US.I mean the worst illness’s a person can catch such as cancer. You give me 100 pounds of pot and i can treat 50 people with bad as hell arthritis and within 5 days they will not have it anymore.I don’t have a degree either.Where does it say you have to have a degree to cure people of illness’s?.

@vetsaway I am not disagreeing with you on the possible effectiveness of hemp oil in medical treatment. I never have. In fact, I even specifically stated in my initial comment to you that the lack of research in that area was due to politics. What I am telling you is that you are incorrectly assigning blame to these surgeons when you say “These doctors just like to cut on people.” And you do not need a degree to cure anyone, but you do need a degree and funding to conduct credible research.

@vetsaway Credible research will then be used to change government regulations regarding medicinal marijuana, and allow doctors such as the ones you are criticizing to use it effectively. Plus, without credible research, the longevity of the effects, the possible side effects, limitations and proper usage of hemp oil will all be empirically unknown. So rather than bashing doctors, look at it from a research standpoint. My anger at your statement stemmed from your wrongful criticism of surgeons.

@metalguitarist321 I understand what you are saying. My friends in Poland think that i am brutal. They also say that i know how to get the attention of people who would never even pay attention to such a thing as marijauna curing cancer. One of my doctors at the VA has told me several times that she wished they would legalize marijana so that they could open a totaly new avenue to making peoples health better. She used different words than this but you see my point.

@vetsaway All I am asking is that you assign blame where it is necessary, which happens to be upon federal regulations and social stigmas, not surgeons doing their best with what they are provided. Thank you.

@metalguitarist321 You make excellent points. I happen to support the legalization of marijuana but would not support the use of marijuana to cure any illness unless I saw some legitimate data proving such a claim. I do support the use of marijuana to treat certain symptoms such as nausea though.
