Prostate is a male gland needed for reproductive functions, it produces fluid used for sperm transport for the purpose of ejaculation. Prostate can grow slowly and affect urinary tract causing problems, this affects many men and the risk gets increased with age. Prostate enlargement also causes bladder problems and related complications.
Would prostate supplements help shrink enlarged prostate naturally ?
Prescribed medication, such as Proscar, needs to be taken over a long period of time and would have side effects. Procedure like TUNA would have some risks and it needs to be repeated every 3 years. Natural herbal supplements seem to be the best choice to shrink enlarged prostate if they work.
What worked really well for my brother was Sal Palmetto Plus.
Hope this is helpful and feel free to contact me with questions.

I’m a vet with PTSD and the drugs I take have sadly ruined my wife and I’s sex life. When we do get to have relations (only 4-5 times a year – my poor wife, I know) ejaculation is pretty painful. I can’t tell if just because it’s been so long or because of my enlarged prostate or both! The doc asked if it’s ever painful to pee and I said yes but rarely. So she prescribed Ciprofloxacin and I’m frankly afraid to to take it. What do you folks out there think? Thanks much.
Ciprofloxacin, Cipro is a good anti-biotic for UTI or prostate infections but a better one is Bactrim. Cipro will take longer to cure a prostate infection but it will work. I’ve had an enlarged prostate a.k.a. BPH for over 15 years and it makes urination a bit more difficult at times but I never had any pain from BPH. An infection will definitely cause pain and if it’s gets bad enough it has similar symptoms as the clapp (gonorrhea). After you take the Cipro for 10 days you should be feeling much better but my advice would then be to have your doc test your PSA if you’re over the age of 45. It’ a blood test that is used to screen for prostate cancer and it’s the best test known to date to detect prostate cancer in the early stages. Prostate cancer is mostly an age related disease but it has similar symptoms as the prostate infection. I had chronic infections and after my PSA went up and down for about 5 years it finally jumped way up to 12.7 and I knew something was wrong after I took a course of Bactrim and it only came down to 10.3 ~ prostate cancer. That was 9 years ago. I’m not trying to scare you but it’s a good idea to keep a check on that PSA if you’re close to age 50. Discuss it with your doc just to be safe.
