Has anyone had a dog develop an enlarged prostate even though he has been neutered?
I have a 15-year-old neutered Peke who has been diagnosed with an enlarged prostate. The vet is calling back Thursday with more information, but from what I have read, it seems that the prostate is mostly removed with neutering. In what case would my dog then have a prostate problem? Thanks for any info you have!

At the start of the 2011 March Madness, Dr. Daniel Indelicato gave a moving presentation on the benefits of proton therapy for children suffering with brain tumors. In his talk, he related that “… we deliver proton therapy to children because we have learned sobering lessons about the harmful long-term side effects of traditional radiation …” He also discussed the survival rate for these children, which is slowly improving due to proton therapy. The hope you and I have for minimizing our own collateral damage via proton therapy creates a close bond with young patients facing and hopefully avoiding even more devastating side effects. Many of our Brotherhood have been touched by our experiences with the children at UFPTI.
