Prostate is a male gland needed for reproductive functions, it produces fluid used for sperm transport for the purpose of ejaculation. Prostate can grow slowly and affect urinary tract causing problems, this affects many men and the risk gets increased with age. Prostate enlargement also causes bladder problems and related complications.

Do you think I could have an enlarged prostate?

First off I don’t think I possess any of the associated symptoms but while I was masturbating I was curious and thought I’d stimulate it. I’ve done this once before probably over a year ago and my prostate was walnut sized as it should be. Today though, I found it to be much bigger and I got no pleasure from stimulating it but a slight discomforting pressure. Even at such a young age(17) can your prostate become enlarged?

are you having trouble weeing or is difficult, uneven or is intentional
have blood in your urine
having burning Sensations when you take a leak or ejaculate
have pain in the upper thighs lower back or pelvis

if you have similar systems as above it often indicates normal enlargement for your age or you have been drinking to much water or under a lot of stress
be warned while prostate cancer can be caused by these system it can also be system less if you have any concerns about your prostate see your doctor a.s.p

I have a benign enlarged prostate. Is there a laser treatment that would shrink an enlarged prostate?

This question is basically for Physicians and Surgeons or anyone who has gone through this ailment. I have a benign enlarged prostate. Is there a laser treatment that would shrink the enlarged prostate, without open surgery?

Is there any option to reduce an enlarged prostat
other than surgery? Isn’t there a medicine that
can be taken?

As enlarged prostate is a physiological process occurring with age, and affected by certain factors; you can limit or avoid by doing specific things and encourage some others to succeed in enlarged prostate treatment. However, the treatment is based on your actual situation.
Avoid drinking alcohol, cigarettes, fried or chilli foods as they can worsen your situation. Certain meds like terazosin and finestaride can also be used together with herbs like uva ursi, saw palmetto, stinging nettles, etc.
